Colorado Loan Incentive for Teachers (LIFT) Program
Funded by CollegeInvest and established by the Colorado Commission on Higher Education, Colorado’s LIFT program helps teachers in high-demand disciplines repay their student loans. Qualified teachers can get up to $2,000 a year toward loan repayment for up to four years. Who Qualifies?

- Graduates of Colorado colleges and universities
- Colorado teachers who are working full time in mathematics, science, special education, linguistically diverse education
- Colorado teachers who are teaching at least half time in a high-poverty rural elementary school where 28% or more of its students qualify for the National School Lunch program. (For a listing of qualifying rural elementary schools, click here.)
Which loans qualify?
CollegeInvest Stafford loans and Stafford loans through a LIFT participating lender (US Bank, ASAP Union Bank & Trust and Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities Education Loan Program).
