Important Considerations

*Source: SavingforCollege.com, June 2009. The Stable Value Plus Plan received a 4½ -cap rating for Colorado residents. The 5-cap rating assigns an overall rating to each 529 program ranging from 1 cap (least attractive) to 5 caps (most attractive). The 5-cap rating represents an assessment of the overall usefulness of a state's 529 plan based on many considerations such as flexibility, liquidity and availability, ownership rights, state benefits, investment approach and safety, program resources and financial aid impact. It is not strictly a measure of historical returns and it is not a predictor of future investment performance, level of investment risk, or financial solvency of the program funds. These ratings are not the result of a fixed formula. Before establishing a 529 account and making contributions, it is imperative that investors read and understand all enrollment materials and disclosures from the programs.

Official Statement
Please read the applicable Plan Disclosure Statements carefully before investing. They explain certain risks, fees, limitations, restrictions and qualifications regarding the Plans’ benefits and potential tax advantages. Plan Disclosure Statements can be found at www.collegeinvest.org. Investments in CollegeInvest Plans are not guaranteed by the state of Colorado or any other governmental entity, and may lose value, including principal amount invested. Administered and issued by CollegeInvest.

Home State
If you or your designated beneficiary are a resident of a state other than Colorado, before investing you should check with your home state to see if it offers a 529 program. That program may offer state tax or other benefits to residents of that state that may not be available to investors in programs of other states.

1MetLife has agreed that the annual rate calculated each year under the Funding Agreement will not be less than the greater of (i) the Colorado minimum non-forfeiture interest rate for annuity contracts (currently, 3.00%) or (ii) 2.00%. The actual investment return on your Account will be the annual net rate under the Funding Agreement reduced by an administrative fee deducted from your Account by CollegeInvest.
