First Step is a new program recently passed by the Colorado legislature and CollegeInvest, offering a free $115 gift for every newborn or adopted child in Colorado on or after January 1, 2020 to jump start your way to saving for their higher education.
When you invest a dollar, we match it. Up to $500 each year up to five (5) awards, for all eligible CollegeInvest 529 Account Owners with children up to 8 years old. It’s another way we’re helping lower to middle-income families save for higher education.
